As the title says, how did Earth lose the 7 Hour war? Was Earth just swamped by the Combine and overwhelmed, or does the Combine have weapons that we do not see in the games that outclass what our modern armies have? In my opinion it would seem that the Armies on earth have such good equipment, they could take down all the things the Combine uses. Our Tanks or even Air Force could easily defeat a Strider. Head Crab shells would be the worst weapon that could be used, and even then, they seem to be complex to set up and it takes a while for it to reload as we see in Lost Coast. An air strike would easily take them out. So how did we lose?
